History of our company

Rouz Darou Pharmaceuticals Company was founded in 1963 by a group of faculty of pharmacy graduates. Their objective was based on their strong belief and dedication to maintain the professional and national mission to keep the quality of pharmaceutical products pervades our country's healthcare system.

In order to conserve values and ethical principles, according to the company's memorandum, both investors and shareholders had to be exclusively pharmacists but in 2001, our company's policy has changed and buying and selling shares were allowed in the stock market.

Our company started its activities in a small site then following a fast growth in production of pharmaceutical goods, a new production facility was required and build in Tehran's east-end to meet such high requirements.

In 1998 due to an increase in demand for our products and also the necessity to comply with new GMP's requirements, we expanded again and the 8000 m2 second production facility was build in a site appropriate to our needs totaling 45000 m2 and surrounded by a beautiful and pleasant landscape located in Tehran's west- end.

Our company is presently known to be one of  the biggest and most reputated pharmaceutical companies in Iran. Its field of activities comprises of the manufacturing of pharmaceutical dosage forms such as tablets, capsules, powders and also some herbal medicines in its two state-of- the- art production facilities.

The third production facility which is built next to the second facility is expected to be inaugurated and to be operational by the end of 2011, where oral and injectable cephalosporins will be manufactured.
