INDICATIONS: In dehydration state due to acute diarrhea for compensating water and electrolyte loss. CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypernatremia, Hyperglycemia, Hyperkalemia. PRECAUTIONS: In renal insufficiency, it has to be used with caution. Prevent consuming antibiotics in acute phase of diarrhea. Pregnancy: pregnancy category A. Nursing Mother: no problem in using in nursing mothers. Pediatric Use: safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have been established. SIDE EFFECTS: Over limit consuming of this pharmacy could cause convulsion especially in children less than 1 year. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Adults: As required, with each diarrhea 250-500 milliliters of solution. Infant: 1000 milliliters in 24 hours. Children: 1000 milliliters in 8-24 hours depends on age & weight of child and also illness severity. How Prepared: Dissolve one sachet of Ruz-O.R.S. in 1000 milliliters of hygienic water. Prepare solution fresh, everyday, and keep it in refrigerator.
